Things are going well. LJ is 5 months next thursday on the 21st.

Where did the summer go?

Just an update, since my computer takes so long to upload and transfer pics. I will just be writing this time.

The summer went fast but it has been great, have visited many family and friends adn even got some swimming in. Lee is 10 weeks old and doing very well. He is growing fast.

I am going to ask for prayer this week because Weds. night at 7 I go back to work, even though it is only partime...I am very anxious.

Joey is going to be watching Lee and he will do great. It's just another change and learning to adjust to work with a child.

I just have to keep reminding myself that God has provided in the past and will provide in the present and future.

Hi everyone,
Well, its already been a week since the arrival of Lee Joseph also known as "LJ". My mom has been here all week that has really helped and Lee is sleeping 3-4 hours in a row at night so it really has been going pretty good.

After being in labor 24hrs, my body is slowly recovering. LJ is doing better than his momma:) He weighed 7lbs 8oz. we already saw the doctor this week and he is healthy and gaining wt. Nursing is also going well.

Thanks to you all for you prayers, support and encouragement through this whole process and now our new journey of parenthood.

Baby update

Hello everyone,

Just an update. I am 9 days away from my due date. I see my doctor again Thursday. Feeling pretty good for being 9 mo. pregnant. Working 8 hr shifts now instead of 12. That has helped alot. Baby room is all ready and just getting last minute things done around the house. Loving the spring weather.

Please pray for my a healthy baby and for a safe labor and delivery for baby and me.

Thanks for all the prayers and support you all have shown Joey and I through this whole journey that started over a year ago.

We found out a week ago that we are having a boy, he is healthy and growing.

I have no internet access so I don't get to check my blog very often, if any of you
were wondering.

I am 14 1/2 weeks pregnant just had a dr.'s appt everything is good.
Will find out what the baby is on Jan 20th.

My weight restriction has been lifted so I am going back to working nights this friday night
I am waiting to hear about a job at Parkview North so I hope that I get it, it would be day shift.

Learning to wait on the Lord, seems He is always teaching me this.

Change, Change and more Change

Well after 2 years of the adopting process and though valleys and mountains.....

WE ARE EXPECTING A BABY IN MAY!!!!!!!

Thank you for all your prayers and support!

I am feeling pretty well except some nausea in the morning. We had our first ultrasound over a week ago and everything is looking good, we got to hear the heartbeat, that was pretty amazing.

We closed on our new home a few weeks ago and are doing some painting and minor changes to the home before we move in.

Yesterday, we had to put our cat Lucky to sleep because he had become very sick and the cost of trying to make him better would have been too much for us to pay.

For those of you who have ever lost a pet you know what I mean when I say they become part of the family, it was sad but life goes on. We still have peaches who keeps us entertained:)

I will keep you all updated, continue to pray as I know you will.

We leave tomorrow for a short trip to Michigan for a marriage conference looking forward to it.

Have been working for occupational health giving flu shots and on Thursday have an interview for a Surgical coordinator position that would be less stressful than my nursing position on the heart floor and I wouldn't have to lift more than 30 lbs.

God is good and He keeps showing me that daily.

How time flies

Well... I wasn't going to post and then I realized it has been 3 weeks since I last updated.

A week and a half ago my husband and I bought a new house, totally a God thing. Will be closing

Oct 1st Lord willing. It is a home in the country 10 mins from Leo and considered Dekalb county

and has an auburn address.

Keep Praying over us as we go to indy in a few weeks for embryo adpotion implant.

Appointment in Indy-the next chapter

Hi everyone,

Well this week was full of emotions.

Went to Cedar Point and had a day of just pure crazy fun that is if you like roller coasters, which Joey and I do.

Yesterday Joey and I traveled to Indy for my mock transfer appt for our embryo adoption.
Everything went well, I was given the ok and we even picked out embryos from parent profiles that Dr Boldyt gave us, he thankfully did not make us choose them in the office in front of him.
I was anxious and excited all at the same time. They will only transfer 2 embryos but we picked 6 for back ups in case when they thaw the embryos they are not viable. We chose from 2 families and feel at peace with our decision. The end of august or beginning of Sept. is when the transfer should happen. Lord willing.

Hope everyone's having a great summer. Just spent 4 days in IL. My sister and sister in law are expecting babies in January. Joey and I have an appt in Indy july 30th with the doctor for the embryo adoption.

Keep praying that God will work through this all.
It is easy to think of all the negative and things that could go wrong.

But with God all things are possible.

Thanks for all the replys and comments and prayers.

I have been in contact with the nurse in Indy and she will set me up with an appt this monday or Tuesday. There are still some unknowns but she did answer a lot of my questions.

Also, Joey and I are starting to look at houses because our lease on the house we are now living in is over in December.

I am writing this on Sat night, I just got downstaffed from work which means not enough patients for the staff that is scheduled. I was excited, even though it will use some of my paid time off. They could call me back in though at 11. So we will see.

Enjoying the summer weather, road bikes with joey today, and went to a really nice graduation party for a friend of ours.

ADOPTION UPDATE!!!!

I actually have some positive news about the adoption. My husband and I two months ago today started the application process for embro adoption with a christian organization in Tenn.
Today I recieved word that all our blood work, paperwork, and homestudy have been accepted.
We will be setting up an appt. with the doctor soon to meet with him in July which by the way will be in Indy. instead of having to go all the way to tennesse. Have to go to work in an hour, so more later.

It's been a long time since I have wrote, I check a lot of blogs and read them and then just never take the time to write. Work 3 12hr shifts, while most of you sleep I am trying to save lives. Lately I have had very sick patients and some have passed on. It was really neat one week I had the opportunity to help a family say goodbye to their loved one, what was so nice is that he knew Jesus and the family had the hope that he was going to heaven to suffer no more.

Adoption update....PRAY PRAY PRAY!!!!!

We are looking into some different agencies and some different options for adoption.
God has placed some people in our lives to help get the process rolling again and make sure we are doing everything we can. I am reading Hannah's Hope right now and it is about a women who has grieved the loss of not having children.

God continues to grow us through the waiting.

Joey's business is going well. He has jobs and people are satisfied with his work
PRAISE GOD.

Also, last week I found out my husband wasn't covered on my insurance by my error and we were told I would have to wait another year to get him covered.
Well after prayer and giving it to God.
Monday I made some calls and He is covered now.
Another Praise.

Spent the weekend in Indy for our 5th anniversary. Will have some pictures up soon. Besides forgeting the tickets to the concert. The weekend went pretty well. Thankfully I remembered that I didn't have the tickets and our neighbor's met us half way back to Leo.
Trying to get used to this new schedule of working 12 hour night shift. It's going ok.

Just wanted to write, been reading a lot of blogs lately. Seems like there is a lot of people who can use prayers and are going through a lot of situations. Today in church the spirit came to me and whispered God is good, Jesus loves me this I know, and whatever the future holds God goes before me. For those of you who do not know we are pursuing adoption things are slow, our homestudy is done but now we have moved and trying to adjust to a different life without teenagers. My heart sometimes still griefs for a child and all the changes our life has taken.

For the last week or more we have been boxing and moving our stuff to our new house.

You never realize how much stuff you have until you move it. Will be glad when its all over.

On monday I was offered a job on a heart unit at Parkview Main 7pm to 7am.

I will start work January 19th. As I write we only have 2 more weeks of our job. We move Dec 29th with the help of teenagers should be interesting. Getting a lot packed.

Job interview

Today I met with Rhonda from parkview who is a nurse practitioner.

In January there is a new heart unit opening up with just 12 beds. Which means more quality care for patients. I was offered a 7pm-7am 3 nights a week which is considered full time and would only have to work about 1 weekend a month. If everything keeps going as planned I would start around Jan 19th.

Since I wrote last, I have a job interview tomorrow at Parkview Hospital.

Joey and I are going to sign a year lease for a rental house in grabill on Friday.

It's amazing how God can weave the pieces of our life together if we trust and let go.

When God closes a door

Hi everyone,

It is with mixed emotions that I right this blog. As of January 3rd Joey and I will be moving on from GW. I am looking for a nursing job in the area and Joey is looking for something with landscaping.

Please pray for God's guidance in our life in this time. Sometimes the mountain looks big but God is bigger than anything we see in front of us.

Joey and I feel God closing the door hard on the ministry that we have been doing for 4 years and has other plans for us although we don't see what they are.

I am reminded of 1 Timothy 1:7 God does not give us a spirit of fear...

Haven't written in awhile. Had a great 4 days off.

Went to a scrapbooking retreat and got 30 pages completed.

Nothing new on the adoption front. Some days feel longer then others, learning to

trust God more and know that He is in control and knows best.

Well, its another friday night and we are on duty with 7 teenagers. It's cold and rainy out, so can't

do to much.

This week in bible study we learned about blessed are the merciful for they shall see God.

It was a good reminder to me how much mercy God has shown on me and how even when a person doesn't deserve mercy that is when I need to show it the most.

Hi everyone,

Had a great weekend in Michigan. Spent time shopping, biking the island, spending time with friends, and growing in our marriage.

On monday and Tuesday we were at the Grand Hotel for a marriage conference with Jay and Laura Laffoon, check out their website celebratenet.com. Dr. Kevin Leman talked and gave us some great things to ponder and challenged us in our marriage.

Back on duty, alot of sickness is going around here on the job. Trying to stay healthy.

Tomorrow Joey and I leave for Michigan it is a much needed trip. This week has been extra

stressful for some reason. We have been working for 8 days straight with troubled teens that could easily be some of the reason.

Well, today is tuesday. Not much new, went on duty today. Always busy with teenagers. Had a busy weekend, got to see a football game, hang out with family and friends. Sunday we gave dinner at our church after it was all done we only had 2 sandwiches left over. That was close. I will try to get pictures in the future.

At Gateway there are many jobs Joey and I do. A job that I have been doing for almost 4 years is organizing and putting a days off calendar every month. Today Heather Beer are new alternate house mom is going to take over my duty. Even though it was not hard it will be nice to give one of my responsibilities up. Thankful for the rain we got last night. Busy this week with Grabill days and serving lunch on Sunday.
